Weekly Lessons For All Abilities
Lessons for the current academic year (2021-2022) cost £24 for an hour-long lesson at Urchinwood Manor, which is where the majority of our members ride. This is a significant discount from their usual public lesson price. The size of the lesson groups range from 2 to 5 people, which means that you have the opportunity to learn and develop quickly.
Lessons are allocated weekly on a first come, first served basis and are at additional cost to the annual membership fee. Members simply sign up for lessons when they are available, there is no commitment.
We also offer 'Give it a Go' Sessions for complete beginners!

URCHINWOOD MANOR STABLES
Urchinwood Manor is a picturesque 17th Century Manor House surrounded by over 100 acres of pasture. Sally and Peter Hall started Urchinwood Manor back in 1979 and continue to run a successful Riding and Event Centre, approved by the British Horse Society.

Urchinwood Manor is able to offer excellent facilities, having had two new Andrew Bowen surfaces in the indoor and outdoor school, knowledgeable friendly qualified staff and provide tuition for all riders from beginners to advanced riders of any age in a safe environment.
How do I get to Urchinwood Manor Stables?
Urchinwood Manor is approximately a 30 minute drive from the University of Bristol. Quite a few students in UBRC have their own cars - so we do a lot of car sharing to and from lessons! We suggest that those who take lifts off other members contribute a couple of pounds to their petrol.

However, if this is not an option, then we can get the X1 bus from a number of different locations depending upon where you live in Bristol:

- The Bus Station
- The Centre
- Canon's Marsh Anchor Road
- Canon's Marsh Gasferry Road

We then get off at Wrington Road in Congresbury, and from here it is a 15 minute walk to the stables! Remember to buy a student price ticket!
